IEEE1394 and cameras

I agree that we should opt for a camera that can be connected to a IEEE1394 interface.

At the same time, I think we should converge and adopt the same type of camera. This might be useful later on when we will have to set up the three show cases: the vision system will have to work in the same way in all of them, so we should have the same type of camera in the three environments. What do you think?

In this case, if we decide to converge and use the same type of camera, the question is: is it better to adopt an IEEE1394 camera or the Canon VC-C50i plus an IEEE1394 converter?
